Military service and operational leadership

Tim Zadalis is a retired U.S. Air Force Major General. His official Air Force biography and public profiles reflect a career of nearly 34 years of service, including extensive command, joint, air mobility, and operational leadership experience. WSRC notes that he is a Command Pilot with more than 4,400 flight hours.

His publicly listed experience spans air mobility operations, nuclear operations, worldwide airpower command and control, contingency and humanitarian relief operations, human resources, leadership development, training, and education.

Education and qualifications

WSRC lists Tim as a University of Alaska graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, with master’s degrees in Management and Airpower Arts and Sciences, and service as a National Security Fellow at the JFK School of Government.

Advisory, board, and research partnerships

Tim’s advisory work continues across mission-focused organizations and research partnerships. WSRC welcomed Maj Gen (ret) Tim Zadalis to its Board of Advisors in 2023, noting his support for national security initiatives and U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force partnerships at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. WSRC also lists his service on the Board of Advisors for UW–Madison’s MIA Recovery and Identification Project. Tim also serves on the BaseConnect board as a senior advisor.
